Do you ever wonder why there’s so much competition everywhere you look in the world?
Billions of people are obsessed with sports like soccer, football and basketball.
Billions of people vie for the top spots in business, politics and education.
Anything even exercise is unhealthy if it’s not handled correctly.
But we humans have been competing since we started walking the earth.
It’s implanted in our DNA.
We instinctively know that if we sit back and do nothing we probably won’t eat. We probably won’t have shelter and heat.
Competition is what readies us for life. It sharpens us.
It’s not a coincidence that some of the most successful business people are athletes or former athletes.
Athletes innately understand that it takes hard work and drive and discipline to succeed in business just as in sports.
They understand that they must
I’ve worked with so many people over the years who were just not hungry enough to win.
They were too comfortable. Woe to those who are comfortable.
I used to think everyone wanted to make more money.
I finally learned that wasn’t the case.
When you try to help someone in business who isn’t hungry you are wasting time, energy and resources.
Even if they start, they will eventually quit.
They simply don’t stay hungry.
